The Regulation on a professional activity that can be carried out by a kinesiologist came into force on July 3, 2025. It authorizes kinesiologists to perform maximal effort tests with the aim of contributing to the evaluation or rehabilitation of cardiac, respiratory or vascular functions of patients.
This activity must be carried out in a health facility under different levels of supervision and under individual prescription.
In order to allow a common understanding of the concepts, an explanatory guide was written by the College of Physicians and the Federation of Kinesiologists of Quebec. The conditions and modalities according to which the kinesiologist can carry out the activity are detailed there.
