A member on parental leave is an accredited member of the QKF with proof of parental leave at the moment of the registration renewal.

RETIRED MEMBER
NEW - A retired member is a member presently on retirement

- Exempt from continuing education during the fiscal year of his status
- If he was an accredited member until retirement, he will benefit from an ERP (Extended Reporting Period) coverage for 6 years to cover services previously offered**
**EXTENDED REPORTING PERIOD
There is a free ERP (Extended Reporting Period) for 6 years for a previous accredited members with Prolink insurance who retires. All you needs to do is notify the Prolink Group in writing of your retirement, within 30 days of your departure, to:

A ERP (Extended Reporting Period) is a guarantee intended to cover only previous acts. However, coverage must be in place at the time the services were rendered as well as at the time the claim is presented.
In other words, if a member is subject to a lawsuit alleging that they provided negligent service after their policy expires, there will be no coverage even if the lawsuit arises from negligent service that was provided while the member was insured, unless they notify us and opt for a PPAG. This program does not cover new services provided by a member after the date the first PPAG certificate was created.
If you continue to offer services, you must become an accredited member membership with the Prolink insurance option.
